It's so hard to believe that it's been a year already since my beloved Pastor, has gone on to be with the Lord. I think about him everyday and carry his spirit with me. We talked about many things, and he expressed his love and concern for me. I am striving to live a life that would be pleasing both to him and to God. Pastor Walton had several struggles with his health over the last few years of his life, yet not once did I ever hear him complain. No matter what he was faced with, he endured it like the good soldier that he was! I pray that I am able to make him proud as I work towards trying to accomplish some of the things that he discussed with me the last time we talked one-on-one. I thank God for allowing Pastor Walton to be apart of my life, and for allowing me to get to know him in a more personal way...especially over the last 2-3 years of his life here in Earth. There is so much that I could go on to say because when you talk about someone you love, you could go on for hours...and God knows I loved my Pastor...but He loved him even the more, and I am just so grateful to Him for allowing myself and the Union Baptist Church family of Virginia Beach to borrow him for almost 13 years. The relationship that I have begun to develop with the Lord, I owe it all to Pastor Walton because of the example he set before me. I still have a lot of growing to do, but I can now say without a doubt that I am saved in which is not something that I could have said in confidence before having Pastor Walton pour into me many of the things in which he did! I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU VERY MUCH PASTOR!!! God Be With You Till We Meet Again!!!
