Although, I do not know your family, I would like to offer my condolences to the Jones family. My father, Raymond Ellis, along with his four brothers were all Merchant Marines. They often do get the recognition they deserve for their aid in serving our country during times of war and conflict. My dad maintained his membership in the Master, Mates and Pilots Organization until the end of his earthly life, I know because I was with him when he went to renew his membership. Who knows maybe Mr. Jones knew or served with one of the five Ellis brothers. My thanks to Mr. Jones for serving our country & he is classified as a veteran. Peace be with you.
