Franklin Marsh Obituary

Franklin L. Marsh VIRGINIA BEACH - Franklin Lenhard Marsh, 81, passed away June 11, 2010 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Mr. Marsh was born in Nebraska and was the son of the late Frederick Lenhard Marsh and Rose Horky Marsh. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Mr. Marsh was a painter extraordinaire who loved to hunt, fish, and tend his garden. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rosemary and, in 2007, Mary C. Marsh, his wife of 53 years. Survivors include his sons and their spouses, Everett and Elizabeth Marsh of Courtland, Va., and Frederick and Paula Marsh of Virginia Beach. He is also survived by grandchildren, Sara, David, and Stephen Marsh along with numerous other family members and many friends. There will be a visitation and gathering for family and friends at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, Monday from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
