Norbert Sanders

Norbert L. Sanders VIRGINIA BEACH - Norbert L. Sanders, 78, died June 10, 2010. Norbert was born April 14, 1932 the third of nine children to the late Gerald and Viola Sanders. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Geraldine "Mimi" Monday. His career spanned 30 years of service with the U.S. Air Force and 23 years of civil service before retiring. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Michele R. Sanders; his sons, Dwight N. of Houston and George R. of Macomb, Mich.; his granddaughters, Kristy, Rebecca and Rachel and his great- grandchildren, Alex, Eric, Joshua, Armando, Arianna and Angelina. A gathering to share memories will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Oceanfront Chapel, 1801 Baltic Ave., Virginia Beach.
