Philip Dobrosky Obituary

Philip E. Dobrosky Sr. ELBERTON, Ga. - Philip Eugene Dobrosky Sr., 75, died Friday, June 18, 2010, in Elberton. A native of New Haven, Conn., he was retired from the U.S. Navy and the Portsmouth Sheriff's Dept. He was a Korean War veteran and was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice K. Hart. Survivors include his wife, Barbara M. Dobrosky; two daughters, Rosemary Dobrosky and husband Stoney W. of Portsmouth and Cathy Clair and husband Dana of Hertford, N.C.; a son, Philip E. Dobrosky Jr. and wife Stephanie of Elizabeth City, N.C.; a sister, Ruth Papa of New Haven, Conn.; a brother, Thomas Dobrosky of Marietta, Ga.; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.
