I had the privilege of growing up next door her and her kids. Her son, Drew, was my best friend and she was like a second mother to me. Her door was always open for us kids and she was a special lady. Loved her and her laugh. Still think of her often.

Edna darlin I will miss you terribly. Such a sweet funny lady. I enjoyed our time together. Bonnie did a wonderful job taking care of you and I am so proud of her. Save me a seat up there and try to behave... Love you.

I had the pleasure and honor to live next door to Mrs. Mackey, I knew her as Mrs. Calhoun, on Waukesha Ave. when I was growing up. Her house was always open to the children in the neighborhood and she acted as a second mother to me. She will be greatly missed and I just hope she knew how much she meant to me through those tough teenage years.

This is a most gracious lady in every way. I lived across the street from her on Waukesha Avenue for many years. I know how much she enjoyed her family, rememberd the T-Bird that she treasured, because it was such a special gift. She took great care of another neighbor and friend for years, she loved Chanel #5. I feel blessed to have just known her. Frances Murray-Arnold Locust Grove, Virginia.
