Charles Warren Buck KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. - Charles Warren Buck passed away peacefully Sunday, July 18, 2010. He was 93. Mr. Buck was a resident of King of Prussia, Pa. He was a retired engineer for AT&T in Wayne, Pa. Charles was a very active member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, Pa., and a member of their Knights of Columbus Council No. 14454. He was also a member of the Upper Merion Senior Center and he volunteered for the
American Cancer Society. Charles was a talented and avid woodworker. Mr. Buck was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He served from 1941 to 1945 as a technical sergeant in the Pacific Theatre of Operations. Born in Baltimore, Md., on July 1, 1917, he was a son of the late James Lee and Mary Isabel (Poole) Buck. He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 56 years, Jean (Peters) Buck; two sons, Thomas C. Buck of Philadelphia, Pa., and Paul (Swagata) Buck of Bala Cynwyd, Pa.; four daughters, Kathryn B. (James) Hassert of Downingtown, Pa., Aimie T. (Daniel) Lynch of Springfield, Pa., Susan E. Buck (David Price) of Washington D.C., and Jennifer Ann (Karl) DeStolfo of Conshohocken, Pa.; 10 grandchildren, Emily, Laura, Jason, Jeremy, Shelby, Alison, Morgan, Cameron, Cole and Henry; a stepgranddaughter, Nishika; four sisters: Shirley Todd and Adrienne (William) Neal, both of Virginia Beach, Rita Buck of Norfolk and Nina (Gene) Browder of Ormond Beach, Fla.; a sister- in-law, Io Buck of College Park, Md.; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, David Buck and three sisters, Janet Dailey, Dorothy Simmons and Mary Lee Schaeffer. Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Wednesday, July 23, at 11 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Martin T. Cioppi. His viewing will be Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:50 a.m. at the church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Buck's memory to the Mother of Divine Providence Church (Outreach Program), at the above address and/or the
