Geneva Hackett

Geneva N. Hackett VIRGINIA BEACH - Geneva N. Hackett, 94, passed away July 17, 2010. Mrs. Hackett was born in Baltimore on April 26, 1916 to the late Glen Allen Nelson and Josephine Dix Nelson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent P. "Hack" Hackett. She attended Providence Presbyterian Church and was active in round and square dancing until 1995. Survivors include two sons, Louis Rever and wife Roberta and Jerry Hackett; two granddaughters, Robin DeFilippi and Deborah Rever; five great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Claudia, Peter, Jacob and Sagan. The family will receive friends today, July 21, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 22, at 11 a.m. in Princess Anne Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach SPCA.
