Allen and I knew each other for many years ... we attended high school together and both went to work for the railroad at about the same time. We would carpool and talk about our families and our hopes for a happy life. Al was one of my best friends at the railroad and I will deeply miss him. I regret that we had not seen much of each other since our retirements, but I always thought of him and will always remember him as a dear friend and a wonderful man who would do anything for anyone. I send my deepest sympathy to Al's entire family and wish you all well.
