Teresita Badiang Obituary

Teresita Gabriel Badiang VIRGINIA BEACH - Teresita Gabriel "Nanay" Badiang, 63, of the 4100 block of Millstream Road, passed away Aug. 12, 2010 in a local hospital. A native of Tumauini, Isabela, Philippines, she was the daughter of the late Narciso and Nicanora Gabriel. She retired from Norfolk General Hospital as a registered nurse after 39 years of service. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years, Romeo H. "Romy" Badiang; a daughter, Jennifer B. Alberti and husband Michael; a son, Jason G. Badiang and fiancée Andrea Brum, all of Virginia Beach; five sisters, Celia Macapia and Magdalena Malabug, both of Boston, Alma Ebrado of Churchville, Md., and Alicia Alonzo and Evelyn Gabriel, both of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Narciso Gabriel Jr. of Philippines, Zaldy Gabriel of Virginia Beach and Ricarte Gabriel of Abingdon, Md.; three grandchildren, Jaden, Dylan and Roman; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Isabelo Gabriel and Danilo Gabriel. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father Vinencio Balarote officiating. The burial will be private. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, today and Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. with a wake Monday at 7 p.m. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to American Heart Association or Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy toward the family in their time of loss. I enjoyed working with Tessie although i did not have the opportunity to work with her long at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Again, I wish to express my sincere condolences to the family
