Sara Alexander Obituary

Sara Cathern Alexander SUFFOLK - Sara Cathern Alexander, 59, of Emporia, passed away Aug. 28, 2010. She was born in Suffolk, the daughter of the late Sara Umphlett Harrell and Matthew Hayes Harrell. She worked as an office manager for Emporia Welding Supply. Sara is survived by her fiance, Floyd Miller of Emporia, and her daughter, Shea Alexander of Suffolk. A funeral will be held Tuesday, Aug. 31, at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434 with the Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends may join the family today from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
