Ginny was my earliest playmate. We lived down Marshall Road in what was Washington Township, now Kettering, Ohio. I´d ride my bike down to their long lane and arrive at the house to knock and ask if Ginny could come out to play. Her Mom, Bernie, would say, "Sure, she can come play after YOU snap all these beans!" Everybody was put to work in this big family with a ton to do on a daily basis! One day by brother came home all dirty at age 11, saying he´d been down all day at Belvo helping to deliver a bunch of new piglets, which appalled our prudish grandma! One day Ginny had the end of one finger cut off when my brother turned on a machine she´d stuck her finger into. When I was4 and she 3, we climbed over the water trough into the lot full of sows and their new piglets at another neighbor´s. Mrs. Reeder saw us and came screaming to get out of there, as a couple sows started heading for us! She explained that mother sows with new babies were very dangerous. After we moved away, I only saw Virginia one more time at I believe was Ohio State, but that memory is spotty. I remember she still had her lovely light blond hair, which I´d always loved when we were little. She was a beautiful child, sharing her blond hair with brother Albert, who was my brother Doug´s friend. I´m now 83 but still have vivid and fond memories of the Belvos!

Aunt Christina was always a positive, energetic person. She had a strong faith and always helped others. I hope I can learn from the wonderful person that she was. - Gina

Christina/Ginny, was a precious "big" sister to me. At so many of the difficult times in my life she "appeared" to assist me. God bless you dear, you shall see the face of God and live. Miss you till I see you again, Janell

My deepest regrets to the family. I had only known Christina for a short time through a centering Prayer Group. She was truly a lovely person and very gentle soul. I'm sure you all will miss her terribly, but it must be good to know that she is no longer suffering. I send my thoughts and prayers. Love, Langhorne Porter
