Norma Clark Obituary

Norma O. Clark PORTSMOUTH - Norma O. Clark, a native of Portsmouth, passed away peacefully at home in Estero, Fla., on Sept. 5, 2010.  Norma was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Raymond "Sonny" Clark; and a younger brother, Frank Stanley Overman Jr. She is survived by her two sons, Raymond H. Clark Jr. and his wife Teresa of Estero, Fla., Marshall Wayne Clark of Melbourne Beach, Fla.; and her loving caregiver, daughter-in-law Teresa D. Clark. Norma was the grandmother of Kimberly Everitt (Rob) and Darren Clark (Vicki) of Chesapeake, Virginia; Ciera Clark-Spears of Portsmouth and Jordan Clark of Melbourne Beach, Fla. Also surviving are seven great-grandchildren. Norma was a longtime member of The Ambassador Wives' Club of Portsmouth and a 63-year member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.  Norma retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 21 years of service. Norma and Sunny's love of the beach was lived out with their winters in Fort Myers Beach, Fla., summers in Nags Head, N.C., and shoulder seasons at their home in Portsmouth. Norma's family will receive friends at Loving Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. A graveside service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Olive Branch Cemetery.
