Jose Escalera Obituary

Jose R. Escalera VIRGINIA BEACH - Jose R. Escalera, 87, passed away Sept. 8, 2010. Mr. Escalera was born in Puerto Rico and resided in Connecticut for most of his life and in Virginia Beach since 2003. He was employed as a material handler with Pitney Bowes for many years. He was a member of St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church. Survivors include a son, Angel L. Escalera; three daughters, Josephine, Sonia I., and Aida L. Escalera; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-granddaughters; 11 brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends Saturday, Sept. 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. in Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home where a funeral will be held Sunday, Sept. 12, at 3:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. Friends may offer condolences at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.

Josie and Sonia - I feel your pain and wanted to express my condolences. I know how much you loved your Dad. You all should very proud cause you guys took care of him at any cost.
