Carol Montgomery Obituary

Carol M. Montgomery EASTVILLE - Carol Miller Montgomery, 78, died peacefully at her home in Eastville, Sept. 10, 2010. A native of Ghent, N.Y., she was the widow of Dr. James Baker Montgomery and a member of Christ Episcopal Church. She was the beloved mother of Rebecca T. and her husband John Price of Warsaw, Va., Katherine T. and her husband Stephen Warren of Machipongo, Va., and Jean T. and her husband Charles Ames Sr. of Exmore, Va.; two sons, Preston E. IV and his wife Kay P. Trower of Eastville and Robert M. and his wife Cynthia Trower of Machipongo; a brother, John I. and his wife Joyce Miller of Boynton Beach, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; eight nieces and three nephews; and her loving caregivers, Mary Beth Pruitt and Lillian Weathers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Katherine and Ward Miller; and a sister and her husband, Jean and Thomas Dunn. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, in Christ Episcopal Church, Eastville, by the Rev. Robert G. Johnson and the Rev. Joe McKnight. Burial will be in Christ Episcopal Church Yard. Fox and James Funeral Home, Eastville, is in charge. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 301, Eastville, VA 23347.
