Jane Berry Obituary

Jane Denton Berry ELIZABETH CITY - Jane Denton Berry, 91, of the 1600 block of Midgett Drive, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010 at the Albemarle Hospital. Mrs. Berry is survived by a daughter, Norma B. Comstock and husband Ed of Elizabeth City; two sons, Barney F. Berry and wife Karen of Laurenceville, Ga., and Rickey D. Berry and wife Karen of Chesapeake; a sister, Frances D. Snyder of Baltimore; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A graveside funeral will be Sunday, Sept. 12, at 2 p.m. at West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Shawn Blackwelder officiating. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to Riverside UMC, P.O. Box 1693, Elizabeth City, NC 27906. Twiford's Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church St., Elizabeth City, is in charge of arrangements.
