Dolores Edwards Obituary

Dolores Edwards MILL SPRING - Dolores Catherine Polk Edwards, 77, of 2300 block of Moore Road, died Sept. 7, 2010 at Smith Phayer Hospice House. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Charlotte Polk and the wife of the late Alvin George Edwards. She worked in the U.S. Navy Commissary and was a member of Mill Spring First Baptist Church. She is survived by four sons, Alvin Edwards (Shelby), Danny Edwards (Karen), David Edwards (Brenda) and Donnie Edwards (Mary); a daughter, Cricket Russell (David); a brother, Harry Bruce; three sisters, Shirley Eldridge, Mary Bruce, Ruby Klause; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family received friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Sept. 9 at Mill Spring First Baptist Church. The funeral followed at 6 p.m. in the church conducted by the Rev. Dean Elliott. Petty Funeral Home & Crematory, Landrum, S.C., is in charge. Condolences may be left at www.pettyfuneralhome.com.
