Lawrence Beale

Lawrence C. Beale FRANKLIN - Lawrence Carr Beale, 48, died Sept. 10, 2010 at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was born in Franklin and was predeceased by his father, Ocie Lawrence Beale. Lawrence was a 1980 graduate of Southampton High School, a member of Black Creek Baptist Church, and a former member of the Black Creek-Burdette Ruritan Club and a member of the Black Creek Hunt Club. He was employed at Isle of Wight Forest Products in Smithfield and was a 21-year employee of International Paper Company. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 21 years, Sue Raiford Beale; daughter, Megan Blaire Beale; son, Miles Davis Beale and his mother Bernice Clark Beale, all of Franklin; three sisters, Paige Boyette (Richard) of Machipongo, Sylvia Gray (Randy) of Franklin, Connie Alphin of Glen Allen; and a host of friends and extended family. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Kitts and the Rev. Larry Cribb officiating. Interment will follow in Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and suggests memorials be made to Black Creek Baptist church Building Fund or Cemetery Fund. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
