Adrianne Ferne Powers NORFOLK - Adrianne Ferne Powers, 81, passed away peacefully Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010 at Sentara Leigh Hospital. She was laid to rest in the Good Shepherd Mausoleum in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens beside her beloved daughter Teresa Ann Powers Beaman, who preceded her in death. She is survived by four daughters, Martha Hamblin of Virginia Beach, Jacque Bowman of Norfolk, Sonja Powers of Virginia Beach, and Pamela Powers of Florida; she also leaves to cherish her memory 12 grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren (with two more due in January 2011), and one great-great grandchild. She loved to dance and spend time with her grandchildren. She will always be remembered and will be deeply missed. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the loving and caring staff of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Virginia Beach where she lived for the last year, the staff at Sentara Leigh Hospital who cared for her and showed such compassion during her last hours, and a special thank you to the professional staff at Woodlawn Funeral Home who handled the arrangements.
