Shirley Hodges Obituary

Shirley Claudine Hodges VIRGINIA BEACH - Shirley Claudine "Speck" Hodges, 73, passed away peacefully Sept. 21, 2010, with her family by her side. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa to the late Ethel and Claud Speck. Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Robert L. Hodges; daughter, Vickie Boyd-Quigg; sons, Rickie (Pam), Robert Jr., and Charles (Tammi); brother, James Speck (Georgia); grandchildren, Nicholas Boyd (Amanda), Nicole Hampton (John), Rickie Hodges Jr. (Melanie), Kyle Hodges, Katie Heim (J.D.), Jessica Hodges, Brittany Quigg, Tyler Hodges, Jason Hodges, Jennifer Hodges and Charles Hodges Jr.; and one great- grandchild, Ayden Heim. She was predeceased by her parents Ethel and Claud Speck; and her sisters, Barbara Good and Mary Capps of Iowa. A visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Woodlawn Funeral Home, where a service will follow Friday, Sept. 24, at 2 p.m. with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered to the family online at www.woodlawngroup.com.
