Anna Schmidt CHESAPEAKE - Anna Schmidt, 89, passed away Sept. 20, 2010. A native of Akron, Ohio, and longtime resident of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., she was the daughter of the late John Deak and Anna Trendler Deak and the widow of Joseph Schmidt. She is survived by her daughter, Joanne Eagen and husband Don of Chesterton, Ind.; two grandsons, Michael Davison of Okinawa, Japan and Jeremy Schmidt of Mansfield, Ohio; two great- grandchildren; a brother- in-law, William Schmidt and wife Barbara of Kill Devil Hills and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, John Schmidt; a granddaughter, Kim Davison; and a sister, Rose Tierney. She will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery with her husband.
