Betty Harmon Obituary

Betty R. Harmon LITTLE RIVER, S.C. - Betty R. Harmon, 71, died Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010 at her home. Born Nov. 15, 1938 in Danville, Va., she was the daughter of the late Willy B. and Evelyn Scarce Russell. She was a member of the New Temple Grove Ministry and the Moose Lodge of Portsmouth, Chapter 966. Survivors include her husband, Raymond V. Harmon of Norfolk; one son, Robert W. Russell of Danville; two daughters, Starlette Seamster of Hampton, Tammy Higgins of Little River; one brother, James Russell of Columbia, S.C.; one sister, Gwendolyn Anderson of Danville; three grandchildren, Terry Collie, Jerry Seamster, Jesse Higgins; and one great-grandchild, Annabella Grace Hunter. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 28, at New Temple Grove Ministry. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice, 8216 Devon Court, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572 for their love and compassion during our mother's sickness.
