Billy Baines Obituary

Billy Baines KILL DEVIL HILLS - William Story "Billy" Baines Jr., 56, of the 300 block of Airstrip Road, died Thursday, Sept. 23, at the home of his brother in Hobbsville, N.C. Billy was born in Gates County and was the son of the late W.S. "Bill" Sr. and Betty Riddick Baines. The owner of Billy's Used Parts & Motorcycle Repairs in Kill Devil Hills, he was a member of Gatesville Baptist Church. Surviving are his companion, Nora Spaeth of Kill Devil Hills; two daughters, Melissa Ann Baines of Gatesville and Natalie Baines Bagley (Brent) of Hobbsville; a sister, Deborah Baines Lee (Robert E. Sr.) of Gatesville; a brother, Robert A. "Bobby" Baines (Mandy) of Hobbsville; a granddaughter, MyaLynn Story Bagley; and a nephew, Joseph Baines. A funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Gatesville Baptist Church by the Rev. Gene Asbill. A private burial will follow in the Gatesville Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main St., Gatesville, handling arrangements. Dear Debbie and Bobby, You and Billy have been in my prayers these last few weeks. I will continue to pray for peace and comfort in this sad time. Although I had not see Billy since High School, I have many fond memories of him.He had such a good personality and he was very kind to me when I needed it. I will share that story with you soon.
