Harry Swann Obituary

Harry K. Swann Sr. KINSALE - Harry Kirk Swann Sr. (III), 84, of Kinsale, Va., passed away Friday, Sept. 24, 2010. He was born in Norfolk, married Louise Thomas, was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and retired United Airline captain. He is survived by his wife, Louise Thomas Swann; two sons, Harry Kirk Jr., Christopher Kent and Winston Sterling; grandchildren, Harry Kirk III, James, Christopher Jr., Benjamin, Christin, Courtney and Tiffany. He is also survived by a sister, Christine Swann of Virginia Beach. Memorial services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Attn: Westmoreland Co. Memorials, 895 Middle Ground Blvd., Suite 154, Newport News, VA 23606 Online condolence may be made at [email protected].

Dear Louise and family;

We are saddened by the news of Kirk's passing. We have such good memories of the time we spent with you and "Lover" at Monk rendevous' and especially the night spent in your home during a hurricane! Louise and family,
We were so sorry to hear of Kirk's passing. We think of you guys so often and remember fondly the many happy times we shared with you on Nerius at Yankee Point Yacht Club functions. (I still find myself looking for Nerius' distinctive stripe when I'm on the water.) We'll keep you in our prayers. Janice & Chris Nuckols

Dear Louise and Family,
I am very sorry to hear of the death of Kirk - I flew many, many trips with him as an Engineer and Co-Pilot. He certainly was a "fine gentlemen" at all times.
