Mary Elizabeth George VIRGINIA BEACH - Mary Elizabeth George, 64, of the 4400 block of Bear Trail, passed away Sept. 27, 2010 in a local hospital. A native of Johnstown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Gladys Rowe and Homer C. George Jr. She retired from Penelec as the vice president's secretary after 34 years of service. She was a member of Salix Bethel United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer George of Virginia Beach; her brother, Homer George of Salix, Pa.; two nieces; a nephew; and eight great-nieces and -nephews. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, today from 6 to 8 p.m. Ms. George will be sent to Henderson Funeral Home, Johnstown, Pa., for services and burial in South Fork Cemetery, South Fork, Pa.
