Robert Owens Obituary

Robert Lewis Owens NORFOLK - Robert Lewis Owens, 64, of the 1500 block of Manson St., departed this life Sept. 28, 2010. Robert, affectionately known as "Fubby," was a native of Norfolk. He is survived by his wife, Joyce A. Owens of Norfolk; five sons; three sisters, Jenette Livingston of Norfolk, Rosa Mack of Chesapeake, and Dorothy Clark of Virginia Beach; two brothers, John A. Owens Jr. (Mildred) of Virginia Beach and Lenny Owens of Norfolk; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Viewing will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. I only knew Mr. Owens for a short period of time but my heart reached out to him while he endured his struggle. My thoughts are with the family during this time and know that he is being taken care of much more than you could ever do.
