Evelyn Dillard Obituary

Evelyn Jean Dillard VIRGINIA BEACH - Evelyn Jean Dillard, Union Kempsville Class of 1964, died Oct. 2, 2010 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and Jessie A. Dillard Sr. as well as two brothers, Jessie A. Dillard Jr. and Marvin Lee Dillard. Survivors include her siblings, Ellen, Frances, Lillian, Brenda, Faye, Danny, James, Chris and Ronald. Also left to cherish her memory are a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach with the Rev. Dr. Thomasine Reid officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. A repass will be held at the funeral home following the cemetery service. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Online condolences may also be made by visiting www.altmeyer.com.
