Milton Moore Obituary

Milton H. Moore CHESAPEAKE - Milton H. Moore, 87, passed away peacefully Oct. 7, 2010. He was predeceased by his first wife, Tessie Price Moore. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Joy Strickland Moore; his son, Milton J. (Bucky) Moore and wife Susan; his daughter, Judith M. Roberston and husband Jon; a stepson, Chris Griffin and wife Tina; a stepdaughter, Beth Butcher and husband Scott; seven grandchildren, Tracie Robertson, Jean Connely, Carl Moore, Katie Butcher, John Campbell, Sara Butcher and Kristen Griffin. He retired from N&W Railroad. He was a founding member of the Tidewater Western Riders and also an auctioneer at various auction houses in the area. He was a wonderful, loving, caring man. He is at peace with the Lord now. The family would like to thank Dr. Ronald Stine. A memorial service will be held at Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel, Sunday at 2 p.m. with Pastor David Parker and the Rev. Fred Williams officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Heart Association. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.snellinsgfuneralhome.com.

Margaret and I send our condolences and sympathy to the
Moore Family. Mr. Moore was a genuine and caring friend
who had a way of making everyone around him feel
comfortable and important. We are better people because
of having known him. May God bless you as you mourn
his loss and celebrate his life.
