Aline Pendleton Obituary

Aline Jewell Pendleton PORTSMOUTH - Aline Jewell Pendleton, 95, went to be with her Lord Oct. 9, 2010. Mrs. Pendleton was born in Portsmouth, the daughter of the late Mary and Benjamin Halstead. She was a member of Jackson Memorial Baptist Church and of the T. E. L. Sunday school class. Mrs. Pendleton was predeceased by her husband, Jennings Jerome Pendleton and her grandson, Steve Sealey. Surviving Mrs. Pendleton are her daughters, Ann P. Matthews, Delores P. Sealey, Patricia H. Steverson and her husband Craig; and a son, James E. Pendleton and his wife Claudia. Also five grandchildren, Bernie and Michael Matthews, Elizabeth Smith and her husband Kent, Mark Pendleton and his wife Renee, Paula Martin and her husband Stuart; six greatgrandchildren, Jennifer and Kamin Sealey, Kent Smith, Justin and Jessica Matthews, and Nicole Pendleton; also surviving Aline are her brother, Vernon Halstead and her sister, Virginia Shinn; as well as many nieces, nephews and other family members. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m., in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth, with Pastors Mark Reon and Jackie Allen officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorial donations may be made in Aline's name to a charity of one's choice or to the Jackson Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund. Arrangements are entrusted to Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, and online condolences may be made at www.lovingfuneralhome.com
