Mark Lewis Obituary

Mark Allen Lewis VIRGINIA BEACH - Mark Allen Lewis passed away Oct. 7, 2010 at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital with his sisters by his side. He was born in Northville, Mich., April 23, 1947 to Earl and Doris Lewis. A graduate of the University of Virginia, he served as a naval officer, various management positions within the City of Lynchburg and Tesoro Enterprises and finally with the Virginia Beach city schools. Mark is survived by a son, Nathan Patrick; a daughter- in-law, Katrina; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Zoey; as well as his sisters, Candace Alicia Lewis and Kathleen Lewis Newbold. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Patricia Lewis Colleran. The family would like to express its profound gratitude for the compassionate care and thoughtful counsel provided by the staff of Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. A longtime resident of Virginia Beach, he loved the ocean and the natural beauty of the area. He was an active supporter of the ASPCA and Habitat for Humanity and if desired, donations can be made to those agencies. Condolences to the family may be made at www.hollomon-brown.com.
