Charlie Jones Obituary

Charlie R. Jones WINDSOR - Charlie R. "Buck" Jones, 60, passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, Oct.10, 2010. Buck was employed with Crop Productions Services of Ivor, Va. He was a member of Pine Grove Assembly of God Church where he served as a deacon. Buck was a lifelong member and president of Central Hill Hunt Club. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 27 years, Laura S. Jones; his sons, R. Lee Jones (Jessica), Justin Jones (Catherine), both of Windsor, Neal Hobbs of Suffolk; a daughter, Emily Gibson (Eddie) of Mathews, Va.; four grandchildren, Logan Jones, Dylan Gibson, Cannon and Kendal Jones; sister, Nell Cyr (DJ). A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 12, at 2 p.m. in Central Hill Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Pine Grove Assembly of God Church, Youth/Children's program, 10021 Fire Tower Road, Windsor, VA 23847 or IOW Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 80, Isle of Wight, VA 23397. Arrangements are in the care of Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I have many fond memories of Buck from high school, the hunt club, softball, and farming. I know you will all miss him greatly. I know you will draw strength from each other and all the memories you share of Buck. I just learned about two weeks ago that he was sick. He was in my prayers nightly.
