Charles Scott Obituary

Charles A. Scott Sr. VIRGINIA BEACH - Charles Arden Scott Sr., 71, passed away Oct. 14, 2010. Born in North Carolina, he was the son of the late Frank and Annie Scott. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the Disabled American Veterans, and Indian River Masonic Lodge No. 252. Charles leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Dawn Marie Halvorsen and her husband Michael of Virginia Beach; son, Charles "Chuck" Arden Scott Jr.; daughter, Tammy King of Bermuda Dunes, Calif., and stepson, Donald Egan of Richmond; six grandchildren, Wayne, Victoria, Emma, Michael, Kimberly, and Christopher; two great-grandchildren, Anessa and Jenna; and two sisters, Judy Respass and her husband Teddy of Pughsville, Va., and Jane Hohn of Norfolk; and his fiancée, Peggy Jean Sillers. Charles was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Michelle Scott; his brother, David Scott; and grandson, Joey King. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach, with the Rev. Barry Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.altmeyer.com.

I have always looked for your dad when I was out and about. How we use to laugh and talk about his time as border patrol. The things he had done and seen.I will continue to look for your dad each and everyday as he touchs our lifes in his passing..Go with God Charlie my friend you will be missed
