Carlton Jackson Obituary

C. Franklin Jackson Jr. EDENTON - Carlton Franklin Jackson Jr., 46, of the 100 block of Iredell Drive, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 in Washington County, North Carolina. Mr. Jackson was born in Chowan County and was the son of Carlton F., Sr. and Betsy Craddock Jackson of Edenton. He was the director of 911 Communications for Chowan County and had worked in that department for over 20 years. He was a member and past regional representative of the North Carolina Association of Public Communication Officials, a member of the North Carolina National Emergency Numbers Association, and a member of Edenton Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 25 years, Kimberly Barnes Jackson; two daughters, Ashley Rae Jackson and Kelsey Jackson; a son, Carlton Franklin Jackson III; two sisters, Suzanne Bass and husband Bryan and Melody Jackson Mejorado and husband Lupe, all of Edenton; his in-laws, Dot and Nick Barnes of Plymouth; two nieces and three nephews. A funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Edenton Baptist Church by the Rev. David Brooks. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Friends may join the family today from 6 to 8 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and all other times at the home. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Edenton Baptist Church, 200 S. Granville St., Edenton, NC 27932. Online condolences may be made at www.millerfhc.com.
