It is not for me to understand when God calls a good man to him. There must be a need in the heavens for him. It was my pleasure to have known and worked with your husband.

I would like to send my deepest condolences to the Kline family. I would also like to recognize Mr. Kline for his continuous support and guidance in my life. I met Mr. Kline when I was a child in the Boy Scouts. It was because of his guidance and mentoring that inspired me to stay in the Boy Scouts and achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. In addition, Mr. Kline began the first Law Enforcement Explorer post and I was proud to be one of the first participants. This was a big inspiration and led me to become interested in the law enforcement field. Mr. Kline helped me begin my career in law enforcement and was instrumental in guiding me through my rookie year with the Norfolk Police Department. It is because of his guidance and inspiration that I have had a successful 34-year career in law enforcement. Mr. Kline always made time for anyone that needed that extra guidance or mentoring, for that, I would like to say thank you. You will forever be missed. Jeff Applewhite.
