Richard Shelton Obituary

Richard D. Shelton VIRGINIA BEACH - Richard "Ricky" Duane Shelton, 51, went to heaven Oct. 19, 2010. He was born in Mount Clemens, Mich., to Joan and the late Henry "Hank" Shelton. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Joan Shelton; sisters, Terri Ciccone and husband Joe, Amy Godfrey and husband Bill; brothers, David John, Mark Shelton and wife Lorna; nieces and nephews, Bridgette, Ryan, Brittany, Jojo, Alexis, Billy, Stacy, Heidi, Amanda, Lindsay, Brianna and Ashlin. He was a 1977 graduate of Princess Anne High School. He worked as a machinist at Moon Engineering for 25 years and MHI for the last five years. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 3900 Virginia Beach Blvd., Virginia Beach, VA 23452. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local animal shelter or to the Disabled American Veterans organization. The Cremation Society of Virginia is assisting the family. Even after all these years, I feel the pain of Ricky's passing. Some of my fondest high school memories include Ricky and the group of us who used to hang out together. May God bless Ricky & provide His peace for those who miss him.

My heart felt sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Ricky. I will never forget his sense of humor when we were growing up. He was good friends with my brother and sister, so I saw a lot of him in his younger years. God Bless you all as you go through this difficult time.
