Henrietta Williams Obituary

Henrietta Williams PORTSMOUTH - Henrietta Williams was born Nov. 29, 1921 near Greenville, N.C., to the late Joseph and Mary Adams. Henrietta and her husband Henry moved to New York in 1945 and both retired and moved back to Virginia in 1986. Henrietta retired from Saks Fifth Avenue in White Plains, N.Y., as one of their outstanding sales associates. Henrietta was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Adams; stepmom, Henrietta Adams; husband, Henry Williams; sisters, Lili Dillard, Emma Ellis and Della Neyland. Henrietta is survived by her son, Charles Williams and his wife Linda of Dallas; sisters, Novella Reynolds and Berlestine Duncan of Portsmouth; brother-in-law, Dr. Leedell Neyland of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Jill Turner of White Plains, Julie Ruldolph, Curtis Millett, Teresa Millett of Dallas, Jackie Williams of Columbia, Md., Jason Williams of Florence, Ariz., and Lisa Crecelius of Potomac, Md. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in New First Baptist Church Taylorsville, Portsmouth, the Rev. James Wynn Sr. officiating. Interment will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. The family will receive visitors from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, in Corprew Funeral Home, 1822 Portsmouth Blvd.
