Carolyn Heath Obituary

Carolyn Forest B. Heath NORFOLK - Carolyn Forest Baker Heath, the second daughter of Katie Barnes and J. Grover Baker, was born in Ahoskie, N.C., Jan. 29, 1917. She was the widow of Roland S. "Ted" Heath. Other family members who preceded her in death were her daughter, Patricia H. Wyllie; her parents; her sisters, Edna B. Hubbard and Fliora B. Ross; and her niece, Donna Ross. Those left to remember Carolyn's love and life examples include: grandson, Kirk Wyllie; nieces, Kathryn H. Powell, Linda H. Coleman and Sandra R. Toth; nephew, Gary P. Blanchard; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and devoted friends, Janet Benhase and Rachel Lee. Carolyn was well loved for her gentle nature, sweet disposition and loyalty to family. She served her Lord faithfully throughout her life in all that she did and said. Carolyn was a longtime member of Talbot Park Baptist Church in Norfolk. She later moved to Kempsville Baptist Church and then to Lee Baptist in Portsmouth. Before her health restricted her activities, Carolyn took great pleasure in delivering Meals on Wheels and visiting nursing homes where she and Ted sang with a church group to entertain the residents. Carolyn continues to walk with her God in heaven as she did in her earthly home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Dr. Kelly J. Burris officiating. Altmeyer Funeral Home, Southside Chapel, is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.altmeyer.com.
