Ida Yoest Obituary

Ida Jane Yoest RALEIGH - Ida Jane Yoest, 82, died Oct. 30, 2010, in her home. A native of Riverside, N.J., Mrs. Yoest lived for nearly 50 years in Norfolk, and then moved to Raleigh to be closer to her daughter. Mrs. Yoest was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Raleigh. Ida was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Survivors include her daughter, Helen Yoest, son-in-law, David Philbrook, and three grandchildren, Lara Rose, Lily Ana, and M. Aster Philbrook of Raleigh; a son, John Yoest Jr., daughter-in-law, Charmaine, and five grandchildren, Hannah, John, Helena, Sarah and James Yoest of Arlington, Va.; a son, George Yoest; daughter-in-law, Julie and one grandson, Taylor Yoest of Sevierville, Tenn. A private family graveside service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery where she will rest with her husband, John Yoest, a retired chief boatswain's mate.
