Clifford I. Washburn VIRGINIA BEACH - Clifford I. Washburn, 81, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Friday, Nov. 5, 2010. Mr. Washburn was born in Norwich, N.Y., but had spent most of his life in the Hampton Roads area. He is survived by his three daughters, Judy Benne, June Parks and husband Ron, and Jane Fink and husband Ronnie, all of Virginia Beach; a sister-in-law, Delphia Bass of Norfolk; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He honorably served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Navy during World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam and also retired after 20 years from Metro Machine Shop. A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel. Entombment will follow in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
