Beulah Goin Obituary

Beulah Benford Goin CHESAPEAKE - Beulah Benford Goin, 84, of the 100 block of McCosh Drive, passed away Nov. 9, 2010 in her home. A native of Bedford, Va., she was the daughter of the late Ivy and Maude Shiflett and the widow of Glenn A. Goin Sr. She is survived by her nine daughters, Ann Grove and Mary Jones of Norfolk, Debbie Anthony of Florida, Brenda Comstock of Kansas, Joyce Allison of North Carolina, Frances Byron, Betty Vincent, Linda Mallard and Margaret Hill, all of Chesapeake; five sons, Michael Goin of Norfolk, Roger Goin of Georgia, Marvin Goin of South Dakota, Glenn Goin Jr. of North Carolina and Carl Goin of Chesapeake; a sister, Neda Bivens of Indiana; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, William and Jimmy Goin and a granddaughter, Kim Willoughby. A funeral will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, with Pastor Matt Nettesheim officiating. The burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials in lieu of flowers, may be made to American Cancer Society, 4416 Expressway Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. You have always been a Mother to me and a Grandmother to Stacey and Jason. I will always be known as your adopted daughter and will always love and miss you very much. I am here for Betty you dont have to worry about her and I am also, here for the rest of the family as well, your family is my family and I know you knew that. I will remember all the good times and I know your with Kim now plotting your next move and watching over all of us smiling :)
