As my mother in law Mary was a delight and a great friend. I know that it is not the norm for mother in laws to be that close and liked by son in laws but Mary is not an ordinary lady. Mary had a way of healing you with her special potato soup and her caring in away that you wish you could patient it and the feelings it brought. That will never happen because the soup recipe was here secret and the caring she gave is now with her in eternity. I will never have a great friend like Mary again.

When we would visit with Great Grandma she would bring out all the toys and games she had and we always played with her Dominoes and even though we are grown now, we will always remember her by our own special name for her. She was our Grandma of the Dominoes. We will miss her, Chelsea and Randall Lewis

My Grandma Lewis was a wonderful cook. She showed her love for us grandkids through foods like homemade french fries, potato soup, chicken and dumplins, and the best mac and cheese and collards at Thanksgiving ever. As an adult I asked her how to make those delicious fries I loved so much and she would not tell me. She said it was way to dangerous for me to cook them and that she would do that for me in her iron skillet (and she did!)I discovered Grandmas sense of humor later in life, too. She could be so funny especially in political and current event discussions. Dave loved talking to Grandma and brought out that sense of humor each time. He loved her too. I liked how Grandma kept up with current events and would give her opinion on them quickly when brought up. She was so funny. We love you Grandma and will miss you. Love, Lori -n- Dave

Nancy, I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I didn't meet your mother, but I really enjoyed looking at the family photo tribute. I could get a real feeling for her love of her family and her "sense of style" by looking at the photos. It is amazing how many members of your family (both young and old) resemble her. Including yourself and you know I am counting you in the "young" category! I hope that you and your family feel the peace of God's love during this difficult time.

Nancy, I,m so sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. The similitaries of what you have been thru and her final hours are almost identical to what I experienced with my Mother. Have peace knowing that she is in God's arms and content. May his love be with you and your family at this difficult time.

May Mary rest in peace. She led a long and honorable life and I am proud that I am her daughter in law and the widow of her son, Clyde Jr. She never let us forget that my children, grandchildren and I remained members of her family after he passed. Thank you Mary for caring about us until you went to be with the Lord.
