Dorothy Hill Obituary

Dorothy Mayes Hill CHESAPEAKE - Dorothy Mayes Hill, 75, passed away Dec. 22, 2010 at her home. Born July 25, 1935 in Kentucky, she attended Roanoke Bible College in Elizabeth City, N.C., and was a member of Broadmoor Church of Christ, Chesapeake. She enjoyed playing the piano at church, gardening, and taking care of her beloved animals. She is survived by her husband, Rodney T. Hill; four sons, Larry W. Hill, James T. Hill, John R. Hill and Joseph L. Hill and his fiancée, Tracy; and a grandson, Jeffrey N. Altmore. She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy A. Hill. The family will receive friends at Broadmoor Church of Christ, 3045 S. Military Hwy., Chesapeake, on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Gragg Harkins officiating.
