Amy Slusher Obituary

Amy Kane Slusher VIRGINIA BEACH - Amy Kane Slusher, 28, passed away peacefully at her mother's home Dec. 23, 2010. Amy was an honor graduate of Kellam High School, Class of 2000. She was also an honor graduate of Virginia Tech's Pamplin College, Class of 2004. Amy had moved to Greensboro, N.C., where she was employed by Price Waterhouse Coopers as an auditor, and was most recently promoted to manager in the assurance practice. Amy is survived by her mother, Joyce Brehm of Virginia Beach; her sister, Jennifer Kane of Virginia Beach; her husband, Logan Slusher of Greensboro, N.C.; grandmother, Clarine A. Brehm of Virginia Beach, and many other extended family members and good friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael L. Kane; her grandfather, George Carlyle Brehm; and her grandparents, Paul and Grace Kane of York, Pa. The family would like to thank Dr.'s Sullivan, Greven, and Lesser and staff of The Cancer Treatment Facility of Wake Forrest University, Baptist Medical Center for their care and support. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Princess Anne Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad. Online condolences may be made at www.hdoliver.com.
