Edwin Krampitz Obituary

Edwin C. Krampitz Sr. HOPEWELL - Edwin Charles Krampitz Sr., 68, passed away Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010 at his home. Mr. Krampitz was preceded in death by his parents, Edward August and Evelyn Lee Krampitz. Edwin was a retired machinist from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, with more than 30 years service, associated with the Antique Farm Machinery at the Virginia State Fair and Chippokes. He is survived by two sons, Edwin Charles Krampitz Jr. and Carl M. Krampitz; a granddaughter, Alexis Marie Krampitz; two sisters, Barbara Ward and Leona McLemore and her husband, Troy. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Ave., Hopewell, with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will be private. Condolences may be registered at www.nelsencares. com.
