Margaret Crumpler Obituary

Margaret Dunn Crumpler PORTSMOUTH - Margaret Dunn Crumpler, 90, of the 200 block of Pennington Blvd. died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011 in a Portsmouth hospital. A native of Portsmouth, she was a retired office clerk for MetLife. She was preceded in death by her husband, James N. Crumpler and a son, Bruce Crumpler. Survivors include a son, Gary Crumpler and wife Leona of Chesapeake; five grandchildren, Brett Combs, Mary Beth Iuliano, Kent Smith, Glenn Smith and Jennifer Dudley; and eight great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, in Oak Grove Cemetery by Pastor Joe Covey. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.

Gary: Your mom was always a loyal and trusted friend of our mom. I would always enjoy her sense of humor when she visited. She always treated me with kindness and always seemed to be genuinely interested in what was going on in my life. Please accept my sympathy and prayers during this time.
