Jerry L. Wright VIRGINIA BEACH - Jerry Lane Wright, our beloved, awakened from the dream of life April 8, 2008. Jerry, "Brave Heart," as he liked to be called, was a loving individual with a huge heart. He was best known for his passion for music and was talented and versatile in his vocal attributes. Jerry set high goals for himself, having recently completed a degree in fiber optic technology, which he worked toward with diligence and dedication. After graduation, he worked for PC HandyMan as a systems analyst. Some of his other interests were science and technology, including astronomy and a basic desire to learn more about our universe. Jerry had a great love for animals and children, especially his cats who he adored. He was proud of his Native American Blackfoot heritage, and in relation to that, believed the wolf was his spirit guide. He himself was a protector of his family, who he loved so much, just like the animal he so respected. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Jerry L. Wright Sr. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved mother, Sandra C. Champaco; his beloved dad, David Champaco; three brothers, Cleve Reeder of Rapid City, S.D., Rick Reeder of Smyrna, Del., and Cory Reeder of Clarksville, Tenn.; two sisters, Ann Fowler of Virginia Beach and Kathy Barrett of Vienna, Va.; his fiancee, Kim Richards and her children, Danielle and Meghan of Virginia Beach; and many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and friends. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A celebration of Jerry's life will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Princess Anne Memorial Park Mausoleum by President Gruber. Memorial donations may be made to the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters or a charity of one's choice. Friends may send tributes to his permanent memorial at www.mem.com.
