Hanna City - Milo "Mike" Swadinsky, 59, of Mackinaw, Ill., formerly of Hanna City, passed away at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, at his residence.
Born Jan. 4, 1949, in Peoria, Ill., the son of Marvin and Lois (Largent) Swadinsky, he married Nancy Bollinger on June 8, 1968, in Elmwood, Ill.
She survives, along with two sons, Christopher (Shanna) Swadinsky of Elmwood and Todd (Jodi) Swadinsky of Mackinaw; five grandsons; two granddaughters; and one brother, Marv (Debbie) Swadinsky of Trivoli.
He first worked for Interstate Brand in Peoria as a machine operator for 34 years, retiring in 2004, and then worked for Forts Toyota in North Pekin.
He was a member of the Hanna City United Methodist Church and later attended the Mackinaw United Methodist Church.
He served in the Army National Guard.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will a visitation on Tuesday, Dec. 16, from 5 to 7 p.m., with a memorial service following at the Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington at 7 p.m. The Rev. Jack Wolfe will be officiating.

Although we haven't seen the Swadinsky family for quite some time, we have fond memories from Bowl-Mor lanes from many moons ago. We're sorry to hear of Mike's passing and our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
