I love you, cousin. Forever and ever. I tell my kids of you and speak and think of you all the time. You may not be here, but your memory and spirit are very much alive. Until we meet again.

I went to the cemetery on Christmas Eve to leave a candle at your grave site. I thought it would help but it was still painful, I still miss you terribly. You were the light in so many lives and our days are darker without you. Love you bunches.

We just got through the 4th and I know I am late but been thinking a lot about you daily and I miss you so very much. Love you my Hero.

Lance Cpl. Phillips, Phillips family and friends; We placed over 7,000 full size flags on a hill in Forest Park inside the City of St. Louis, MO. The flags went up Sept 6, 2016 and came down today Sept 12, 2016. I wanted to randomly select one flag and the service member who had their picture and dog tag attached to that flag to honor individually. Sorry I could not do this for the more than 100 flags I took down today but I hope at least one family, a group of friends and perhaps some fellow Marines will know that we never forget your sacrifice and your service. It was my privilege to carry your flag of honor and I hope you felt the respect, admiration and love of the thousands who walked among the Flags of Valor for these past 6 days. Thank you for your service and God Bless you!

Today is 10 years you have been gone and yet it feels like yesterday. I just got back from the cemetery had a nice long talk and it was beautiful out there today. I looked around and thought how you would have loved to drive around with the t-tops off today. Fitz walks by your pictures and says Teve, Teve.. We miss you and love you very much. I will always love and miss you

After 8 years it still hurts the same and we miss even more. Though we can smile at most of the memories we share today brings the ones we can not smile at. Love and miss you forever till we meet again.

Hey Bud,
Busy and Emotional Day yesterday. Met a lady from Mt. Morris who wrote a poem for you and we were honored to have the encounter with her. Mrs. Montgomery honored you well with her comments and invitation to the parade. We feel so blessed that sooooo very many people still remember and honor your sacrifice for our family, our community and our nation. You were always "one of a kind" special. So proud to your were a part of my life. Till we meet again. Love you always and forever.

Well forgive my previous greeting. I was thinking of the times we had spent together and the up coming birthday of someone in the family that like the rest of us carries your memory with her. We will always remember the smile, the trips to visit us at the beach, the way you became such an important part of our lives. We know that you are celebrating in heaven as one of the special angels and keeping watch over those who loved you so much. There is a snow storm coming much like the weather when you made that final trip home. You are forever a part of the good times in our lives.

I visited you today and one of your friends was there with some others. He was a very nice young Marine. They played Taps and put a wreath on you grave. I had someone with me that really misses you as well. It was so hot and the Marine stood there at attention in full dress uniform. Then when I left the radio station started playing patriotic songs. It was a very fitting day to your memory. Thank You My Marine..

Well the weather is very much like when you left for boot camp and when they brought you home to the states. Both times a winter storm delayed our plans as they did my ability to write on the 7th. Our electric is now back on and I've worked the bugs out of the DSL. We think of you every day with smiles as we remember your funny one liners, your wonderful personality and the many little things that made you the special person you were. Know that you are loved and missed by sooooo many people and we know that you are watching over us.

Good Morning Bud,

Sorry I'm late with the birhtday wishes. I wrote something that morning, but you know me and technology. Monday was a beautiful day and Isa and I spent time at your memorial sight watching the lights come on. I know you are not really there, but I like to visit and talk to you. You are in our thoughts and many of our conversations every day. I think about where you would be and what you would be doing if you were still with us. I try to the visualize the house by the pond you dreamed of building. I wonder if your hand is guiding me when I meet new people in need of assitance, and they turn out to be Military.
