Janet R. Scott
of Afton
Janet R. Scott, of Afton, died Friday morning, August 8, 2008, at Gilmour Health Care Center in Norwich. She was predeceased by her two sons, Vaughn "Robbie" Scott in 1972 and Donald James "Jim" Scott in 2006. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Donald L. Scott, Afton; her grandchildren, Donald P. and Tammie Scott, Afton, Vaughn L. Scott, Deposit; great-grandchildren, Brandi, Angela, Robert, Patrick and Thomas; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Audrey Scott, Nineveh; a niece, Patty and Bob Steeves, Bainbridge; three nephews, Richard and Sherry Harmon, Guilford, Gary Harmon, Afton, and Jason Harmon, Sherburne; and a very special friend, Irene Lewis, Afton.
Memorial Services will be held at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home, 69-71 Maple Street, Harpursville, on Monday at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Afton, at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gilmour Health Care Center at United Methodist Homes, c/o Corporate Office, 10 Acre Place, Binghamton, N.Y. 13904 or the Delaware Valley Humane Society, 101 E. Main Street, Sidney, N.Y. 13838. A special thanks to the 2nd floor staff at Gilmour HCC for their love and care.

Dear Don, Sorry to hear about your loss we'll keep you and your family in our prayers..Janet will be missed by a lot of people, she was a good person and we always enjoyed talking to her at Henery's she was always interested in how our horses were doing, she now is in a better place and will be looking down upon us.
