Dora Pierson
of Binghamton
Dora Pierson, 79, went to be the Lord August 8, 2008. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Sterling Pierson, Binghamton; three sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Janet Pierson, David and Diane Pierson and Gary and Karol Pierson, all of Binghamton; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Jennifer, Alise, Jacob Pierson and Amanda and Kimberly Swartz; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly and Snaz Drake, Factoryville, Pa. and Gloria and Ivan Aton, Factoryville, Pa.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Myron and Barbara Beck, Owego and Herb and Katherine Beck, Factoryville, Pa; and close friend, Jane Wheeler. She was a member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Otsiningo Chapter 14 for 25 years. She loved her family, friends and flowers.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 549 Chenango St. with the Rev. Janet Abel officiating. The family will receive friends at the Fischer-Scholder Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Chenango St., Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Eastern Star will conduct a service on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Those wishing may make donations to Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Dora's memory.
